OEM/ODM Customization: Turning Your Wheel Idea into Mass Production

The fastest-growing part of the aftermarket isn't just selling wheels — it's building your own. Dealers, distributors, and emerging brands increasingly want wheels with their own name on them. That's what OEM/ODM customization is for, and it's one of the two core pillars of our factory's business.

1. What OEM/ODM Actually Means Here

  • OEM: we produce wheels to your specification — your design, your dimensions, your branding — for your product line or vehicle program.
  • ODM: we develop the product for you — from concept, drawings, and engineering through to finished wheels — and you sell them under your brand.

In practice the two usually blend: you bring a design or a reference, we handle engineering, tooling, production, and quality, and you own the brand.

2. What We Can Work With

  • Your 2D drawings or 3D files (.step, .3mf, etc.)
  • A reference wheel or a photo set for reverse-engineering and adaptation
  • A rough idea plus your target vehicle fitments — our engineers can develop the rest

We also offer engineering reviews such as FEA (finite element analysis) for load-critical designs before tooling is cut, so structural problems are caught on screen, not on the road.

3. From Idea to Mass Production: The Process

  1. Design & engineering review — feasibility, load check, fitment confirmation.
  2. 3D rendering & confirmation — you approve the design before any tooling is spent.
  3. Mold/tooling development — for custom shapes; tooling cost and ownership are agreed up front.
  4. Sample — sample approval, including finish and fitment on the target vehicle.
  5. Mass production & QC — batch production with dimensional and balance checks per batch.
  6. Shipping — production time and transit time are managed separately so expectations stay accurate.

4. Key Commercial Points to Lock Down

  • MOQ — minimum order quantity for your chosen process (copy line vs. custom tooling).
  • Mold cost & ownership — who pays for tooling, and who owns it afterward.
  • Lead time — how long from approval to first sample, and from sample approval to first shipment.
  • Finishes & branding — engraving/logo placement, center caps, finish options (polished, matte, powder-coated, etc.).
  • IP hygiene — if your design is a copy of a trademarked brand, we'll advise on risk; for your own brand, we help make sure it's genuinely yours.

5. Why Customization Is Worth It

Copies compete on price. Custom wheels compete on identity. A dealer with an exclusive design stops being interchangeable with every other store; a brand with its own lineup builds equity that a resold product never can. That's why we built a dedicated mold-development line alongside our copy production — the two together give our customers both volume economics and differentiation.
